DailySobrietyReflections.com ("we," "us," or "our") is a free, ad-supported website providing daily recovery reflections and inspirational tools for people in recovery from alcohol. We are not a medical provider, counseling service, or treatment facility. We are not affiliated with Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Inc.

We take privacy seriously — particularly given the sensitive nature of recovery. We have designed this site to collect as little personal information as possible.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Contact form submissions: If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, the subject you select, and your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
  • Journal entries: Any text you type into journal or reflection fields on this site exists only in your browser's temporary memory during your session. We do not transmit, store, or have access to any journal content. When you close your browser tab, it is gone.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: Standard web server logs may record your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time of visit. This data is used for site security and aggregate analytics only. We do not sell or share this data.

This website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information to this site, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the personal information we hold. Contact form submissions are transmitted securely through our web hosting provider (SiteGround). However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We encourage you never to share sensitive personal or medical information through online contact forms.

Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, typically no longer than 90 days unless ongoing correspondence requires it. Server log data is retained for up to 30 days for security purposes. We do not retain journal entries — they are never transmitted to us.
